Located within minutes of TCNJ, many students get food from there. In this video, TCNJ journalism student, Kayla Del, conducts a review of Piccolo Trattoria.

Starting my first week at TCNJ, I was introduced to Piccolo Trattoria.

It is easily by favorite meal to get off-campus.

Between its close location to TCNJ, its affordable prices, and its great tasting food, Piccolo’s is the place to eat. 

With delicious and affordable Italian cuisine, Piccolo Trattoria is a top of the line restaurant that caters to different demographics by having a sit down restaurant section and a quick, grab and go section.

Half of the restaurant is more laid back, allowing costumers to order their food at the counter and sit down for a quick meal.

Located within minutes of TCNJ, many students get food from there in this more casual setting.

On the other side, costumers can sit down and be served in a fancier setting with tablecloths and waiters.

This is the perfect way to get a wide variety of guests. 

Additionally, the owner is very friendly which adds to the positive experience at Piccolo’s. 

There is also an outdoor dining section which is perfect during the warmer months. 

For $20, I got a large portion of rigatoni alla vodka, two large pieces of bread, and a salad.

They are very generous with the portions.

I think it is incredibly affordable and you get a lot of food for the price.

While it is not realistic for a college student to spend that much money on food everyday, it is a great thing to treat yourself to every once in a while. 

I really enjoy the food here and my mom and I have both said that they have one of the best rigatoni vodkas we’ve ever had.

I really recommend their pizzas as well, including their barbecue chicken pizza.

It’s amazing that even their salad dressing is top of the line.

Overall, Piccolo’s is an incredibly well rounded place and checks off every box —- good food, good prices, and good atmosphere.
