Frutta Bowls Review – Rebecca Nieves

Rebecca Nieves, a journalism student from TCNJ, visited the restaurant Frutta Bowls at the beginning of November. As a restaurant centered on healthy eats, with smoothies, fruit bowls, and more, she describes her experience.

Rebecca: This is the College of New Jersey’s campus town. It’s frequented by students and faculty alike and is a popular hangout spot for kids in the surrounding neighborhood. There are tons of restaurants in this strip of eats, but one I have yet to visit is Frutta Bowls.

Rebecca: Here’s Frutta Bowls. It’s open pretty late because it is a school night.

Rebecca: The interior of the restaurant is super quirky, there’s sitting options inside and outside, and they offer games for visitors to use. It’s a very clean, cool, and open environment.

Rebecca: So I got an acai bowl and it came in this little container. I think it’s pretty cute. You can make your own bowl, choose your own toppings, and choose your own base, so it’s kind of customizable in that way.

Rebecca: It’s really good! It’s very fruity and fresh. You get the smoothness of the acai base and the crunch of the granola. Pretty good, highly recommended.

Rebecca: So I would definitely recommend Frutta Bowls, especially as a college student. It is a really nice, healthy, affordable option, especially as a college student I try to get my greens in and my fruits in. I think I would recommend it, especially to the students around Frutta Bowls because there are a lot of schools in this area. I definitely recommend it for them, or basically anyone who wants a refreshing treat. Thank you, bye!

Rebecca: Frutta Bowls is located on Campus Town Drive in Ewing, and is open from nine in the morning to nine at night.
