With all New Jersey residents aged 16 and older about to become eligible for Covid-19 vaccinations on April 19, 2021, it can’t hurt to share the experiences of those who have already received their doses. In this interview, Ella Oren-Dahan, a sophomore at Montclair State University, shares her experience receiving the vaccine back in February. At the time, Oren-Dahan was in Israel, and she was able to benefit from the country’s effective vaccine rollout. According to the Council on Foreign Relations, within 2 weeks of beginning vaccinations, Israel had vaccinated 15% of its population, and it remains among the nations that have the highest rates of distribution of Covid-19 vaccines. Oren-Dahan’s experience gives a personal perspective on the experience of receiving the Pfizer Vaccine and a look into the greater global response to the pandemic.
