Sarah Dash, known primarily for as a founding member of the popular singing group Labelle, was born in Trenton, New Jersey on August 18, 1945. She was the seventh of 13 children of Elder Abraham Dash and Elizabeth Evans Dash. Her father was a Pentecostal preacher and businessman; her mother was a nurse. She began singing in her family church, Trenton Church of Christ, etc…
