SWMRS might only be on their second full length album, but that’s only because it’s their second under the name SWMRS. They’re not new to the music scene in the least and 3/4 of the current members started this band when they were 10 and 11 years old, right after they saw the movie School of Rock. Inspired by the passion and talent that those young kids had, they took it upon themselves to do the same. Now, ten years later and a great deal of music under their belt, this foursome from Oakland, California is taking the world by storm – musically and socially. The band is always taking a stand, showcasing their views on political, social, and moral affairs, and do everything in their power to make the world a better place for their fans, themselves, and everyone around them. They even started a foundation that donates a portion of ticket proceeds to a plethora of important, prevalent organizations.

With a written beat focused on music, I, Debra Kate Schafer, had the opportunity to speak to Cole about all of this and more on a phone call while I sat in my dorm on the College of New Jersey campus and while he walked around Cincinnati on a stop on the world tour him and his bandmates are currently on.
