Covid on the Dance Floor: How the Pandemic Impacted Competitive Dance

In the world of competitive dancing, the Covid-19 pandemic was the absolute showstopper, but in the worst way. After months of being shut down, studios gradually reopened to grand restrictions and regulations. The world of competing, normally a standard for dancers worldwide, was changed rapidly in a minuscule period of time. In this virtual interview led by myself, Caroline Dowd, with 15-year competitive dancer Hailey Miczak- of Forked River (Lacey), New Jersey- the many changes to how dance studios and competitions were run are discussed.
