First Year Students in the First Year After
In this audio story, I sit down to discuss the new era of acclimating to the first year of college post-pandemic with my friend Ian McMichael, a freshman at Rowan University. We talk about personal preferences between virtual learning versus in person classes as well as how socialization has changed following this past year. Ian is a music business major, an industry that faced a significant halt in production during the pandemic. I inquire about his feelings regarding the direction in which it is evolving and what he hopes to do in the field. We discuss the differences between his campus community at Rowan University and my own at The College of New Jersey to gain more perspective of how people our age are dealing with this new experience and what we can look forward to.
