Audio Story – Interview – Ben Gallanter – JPW-250

I interviewed Allysa Levine, a senior health and exercise science major student at The College of New Jersey. Allysa has a unique perspective on the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and experienced the beginning of the pandemic, while a student at TCNJ. Allysa discusses her own experiences with COVID-19, her family’s experiences, and how the pandemic affected her life in different ways. Her perspective can be considered unique due to how she had COVID-19 herself at the very beginning of the pandemic in March 2020. This provided an interesting struggle for her to go through with the virus because of the unknown effects the virus would have on her and the overall seriousness of the virus. We discuss how her college life and personal life were also affected by the pandemic’s origins. She discusses how the virus affected her physically and mentally. The interview includes differences between the beginning of the pandemic and the current phase, how my experiences during the pandemic are similar or different to her experiences, and how we all can continue to try and make it through these difficult times in history.
