Every year, millions of animals are taken into shelters. The annual number is on a small decrease in recent years, but ASPCA statistics still estimate the number to be around 6.5 million. 

It is important to chose to adopt from a shelter in order to reduce these numbers and give animals a loving home.

In the interview below, I talk to a Cape May county resident about her recent pet adoption, the process she went through, and what her advice to new pet owners would be.
