Getting to Know Trenton and Ewing: The Mill Hill Playhouse

The name of the topic I chose to discuss from the spreadsheet is the Mill Hill Playhouse. The Mill Hill Playhouse is a theater company that produces socially relevant plays for all ages.  They are located on 205 E Front Street in Trenton, New Jersey 08611. They do not have a set open and close time, so their hours do vary. The Playhouse gives both the youth and adults a chance to be expressive and has a voice. They perform plays that make a social impact through a variety of plots. This is an important place to have in a big city like Trenton as it gets a big and diverse group of people involved in the arts. A bulleted list of three potential news and feature ideas:

  • Salt Pepper Ketchup – To September 27th to October 14th, you can see “Salt Pepper Ketchup”, a play about a food venue that opens up and “intrudes” on the cuisine scene of South Philly.
  • Passage’s Play Lab – The Mill Hill Playhouse’s “Passage Playlab” is working on The OK Trenton Project, where artists are able to band together and place art for the community around the streets of Trenton, New Jersey.
  • Educational Programs – The Playhouse offers the State Street Project, inviting children and adults to team up with local organizations that encourage people to get involved with the arts.
