Final Project: Precision Journalism Transforms into Computational Journalism

This timeline shows how precision journalism changed with the rise of technology and eventually turned into (and is still turning into) computational journalism. This chain of events led to modern day computational journalism which involves a heavy use of technology and science along with journalism techniques and writing. Computational Journalism is the future of journalism and will most likely be a required course within the next few years. This change is the journalism world is huge and will require a whole new set of information for young journalists to learn.

Computational Journalism has already been implemented at many universities and projects such as Gumshoe. Young journalists will hopefully be taught this new information to be prepared for this new world ahead of them. With the help of modern journalists and computer scientists, computational journalism will be the future of journalism.
