Lake Sylva

Lake Sylva

This is one of two man-made lakes behind TCNJ. Located by the Education building, the above is Lake Sylva, stretching up to 11 acres (the adjacent lake is Lake Ceva at 6 acres). Both flow out into the Shabakunk Creek. Sylva was once home to a small island somewhere in the center. It is surrounded by patches of woods connected by two bridges, one on the east and the other to the west. The lake serves as a relaxing spot for students to unwind and bask in the fresh air and sunlight. Despite the nearby, small parking garage connected to the Education building, the area is not very noisy or bustling with much activity, making it especially ideal for this purpose.
