Adventures in Campustown: Arooga’s
Transcript
Caroline: Hi everyone! Today I’ll be checking out Arooga’s Grille House and Sports Bar, which recently opened up to TCNJ around a year ago. I’ll be joined with my friend Avina as we check out what has now replaced Landmark Grill as TCNJ’s primary bar and grill for students and parents to enjoy.
Caroline: So here we are with resident Arooga’s expert Avina Sharma. Avina, when did you start going to Arooga’s and why?
Avina: I started to go to Arooga’s almost a full year ago, last December, because that’s when they opened, and they actually had this promotion where if you got here at five in the morning and if you were one of the first one hundred people you would get free wings every single week. So ever since, during whenever I’m here at school I’ve been coming every week to get my free wings.
Caroline: Oh, nice, nice. Have you noticed, are the wings, would you say they’re pretty consistent in quality?
Avina: I think they’re very consistent. You always get your two carrots, two pieces of celery, your dip and yeah, they always taste the same but I still love them.
Caroline: Is there anything else on the menu you’d recommend?
Avina: Yes, I also really like the National Chicken Sandwich, their pretzels– really amazing. There’s a lot I’d recommend, actually, their sweet potato fries, and definitely their hand breaded Mozz Triangles, you should try those out.
Caroline: I’ve had those.
Caroline: So this is what we got!
Avina: Yeah! So Arooga’s has these specials, and today it was ten dollars for this big pretzel. Look how big it is!
Caroline: Yeah, that’s a hell of a deal.
Avina: And here are my free wings, I told you, today they gave me three carrots. I feel lucky.
Caroline: That’s a lucky day.
Caroline: Guys they have trivia night here. Comment down below if you’ve been to Arooga’s trivia night.
