What’s Going on with Mental Health in New Jersey?

According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, roughly 1 in 5 Americans have experiences within a year which calculates to 43.8 million people.  From those numbers, less than half of the population of those who suffer from a mental disorder received treatment.

Interested in what New Jersey’s, specifically Mercer County’s, statistics were for mental health conditions, I browsed resources like Mental Health America and New Jersey’s Department of Health to see what I could find on the topic.

In today’s audio story, I quizzed Samantha Allen, a student at The College of New Jersey, on the facts that I was able to find with those sources.  Check out the audio story below to see what you know about mental health in New Jersey and in Mercer County.
