Sarah Dash, founding member of Labelle, has gone on to solo success singing dance, rock, gospel and pop and jazz standards.

Sarah Dash grew up in Trenton, New Jersey. She had her first debut in the music scene as a member of the trio “Patti Labelle & The Bluebelles.” Her bandmates were Nona Hendryx and Patti Labelle. Additionally, she sang with legends such as The Rolling Stones, Alice Cooper, The Marshall Tucker Band, Laura Nyro, The O’Jays, Wilson Pickett, and Bo Didley. Dash took her musical career in different directions, even becoming a songwriter. She even sang solo for some time and then toured with Keith Richards. After the peak of her music career, Dash went on to manage some of her father’s properties, restore her childhood home, and develop a “Sarah Dash School of Music and Arts” for both children and seniors.
