My name is Kristen Solis. I’m currently a Senior double major in Fine Arts and Journalism/Professional Writing with a minor in Art History, but I’m dropping my journalism major to a minor this semester. I’m taking this course because I make political artwork that is heavily influenced by journalism. The art I am making for my senior thesis focuses on current news especially focusing on the presidential election and social issues such as gun violence and the refugee crisis.
