Today we went around campus, interviewing multiple students and faculty about TCNJ in order to take part in our Twitter Scavenger Hunt! The tweets are featured below:

These are our favorite tweets from our classmates:

This activity was a lot of fun to do! It was a nice way to change up our class, while still doing something related to journalism. It taught us both the importance of interviewing and how it is a vital part of journalism. It is interesting how willing people are to be interviewed, as I assumed that people would not want to be interviewed. However, it is helpful in knowing that we can easily interview students and faculty! Also, from this experience, we also learned how there is so much inspiration for stories on campus that are so readily available for us to write about. There are so many interesting facts about our campus that, prior to today, we did not know or immediately realize. We can write a unique story about literally anything on campus, since the campus holds a plethora of ideas that have not yet been utilized for stories yet. As journalism students, we now see the importance and easiness of utilizing social media in our own work. Twitter is a great way to interact with our readers, and can be a helpful addition to many stories, since it adds a social aspect, which encourages people to interact with our tweets and story.
