Overall Experience
This experience was fun, yet a little embarrassing. I am not one to randomly go up to a person to ask them their name, major, and how they feel about a topic. I could tell that some people were watching our group wandering around the student center, and those people seemed to look at us weird. It looked like we didn’t belong at the school doing what we were doing. The actual topics that we had to do for the scavenger hunt were enjoyable, though. They were easy to find, except for the “Professor on the street.” There were not a lot of people out walking around campus because of the bad weather, but luckily, our group was able to find an adjunct professor grading quizzes in the student center. Again, due to the gloomy day, our group didn’t want to do much outside. Overall, I think it was a great experience, especially for someone who wants to be a journalist. It helped me get out of my shell because I could act like a real reporter. Going around campus and maybe seeing things I’ve never seen before was cool, too. I think the best part of the whole experience was seeing how other people reacted to my group’s tweets and other people’s views of the campus.
