Food + Housing Insecurity

We are a group of first year students at The College of New Jersey. We have researched homeless statistics and food insecurity issues in the New Jersey and Mercer County area. We have gone even further to research the stats on homelessness and food insecurity on The College of New Jersey's Campus. We initially wanted to understand the social aspects of homelessness and its overarching effect on people’s lives as a whole. We have researched aspects of the homeless and how it’s prevalent in Mercer County, particularly Trenton and Ewing. Our mission is ever-evolving, but informing the public of these issues, withstanding bias is our goal.

While researching, we reached out to Annette Espinsoa, Art and Poetry Editor for The Streetlight online news publication.
