Chris Simon, orchestra director at Council Rock High School South in Holland, PA, has planned many overseas trips for the Council Rock South Orchestra since the school opened in 2002. In this interview, I discuss with Simon about our 2019 trip to Spain. He shares some of his most memorable moments from the trip, some unexpected events that occurred while in Spain, as well as his thoughts on how the COVID-19 pandemic may impact his upcoming 2023 overseas trip with the orchestra.
