An Interview With Cheryl Conway, Editor and Journalist
Catherine Bialkowski
I spoke with Cheryl Conway, current editor of New View Media, a company that provides print and online news for various counties around New Jersey. Cheryl is my boss, as I currently intern and freelance at New View. She has been in the journalism industry since 1990 and shared some incredibly valuable information with me, as well as her own history. Originally a reporter and writer, Cheryl now works as an editor, and shared that she misses being able to write as often as she used to. Cheryl was present, as a reporter, at an infamous speech by Khalid Abdul Muhammad, a black activist, in the 90s, and has worked for various newspapers and publications. She has a lot to teach and to share, and speaks on the highly important topic of the role of politics in modern journalism.
