As I covered within my final paper, &ldquo;Citizen Kane&rdquo; acted as a reflection on the life of newspaper tycoon, William Randolph Hearst. Over the film&rsquo;s development and eventual release, Hearst condemned the movie and even the production company behind it to never be spoken of again in the&nbsp;<i>Daily Variety<\/i>. I thought that this is something that a novice should know because not only was this one of the most influential films in history but it&rsquo;s a representation of Yellow Journalism at its peak.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.knightlab.com\/libs\/timeline3\/latest\/embed\/index.html?source=1ZXXeSdigi5wUqh3KVP3XaJY75-jVQ_Nt6smMT_BBL0o&amp;font=Default&amp;lang=en&amp;initial_zoom=2&amp;height=650\" width=\"100%\" height=\"650\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I really enjoyed learning more about the journalistic background and effect this movie had. Orson Welles&rsquo; was credited by many to be a true lover of the press and the journalism process which is why he made this his first film.
