She was the seventh of 13 children of Elder Abraham Dash and Elizabeth Evans Dash. Her father was a Pentecostal preacher and businessman; her mother was a nurse. She had her first debut in the music scene as a member of the trio &ldquo;Patti Labelle &amp; The Bluebelles.&rdquo; Her bandmates were Nona Hendryx and Patti Labelle. Additionally, she sang with legends such as The Rolling Stones, Alice Cooper, The Marshall Tucker Band, Laura Nyro, The O&rsquo;Jays, Wilson Pickett, and Bo Didley. Dash took her musical career in different directions, even becoming a songwriter. She even sang solo for some time and then toured with Keith Richards.
