A simple tweet can get no response or generate a lot of clicks, depending on certain things. I never really used Twitter before this activity, so I’m glad that it taught me the basics. The element of tweeting that I found to be most influential was utilizing hashtags. I found it fairly easy to use hashtags in a casual way by embedding them into my tweet.

I also really enjoyed responding to other people’s tweets during this activity. It made the whole experience feel much more like a conversation, which is something you don’t really get on other social media platforms like Instagram.

I think the most challenging part for me, however, was applying text to the video I uploaded. I didn’t want to just copy what was said in the video, but wanted to still have it directly relate to it. I think I could still work on this and get more creative with it.

Another thing that was challenging for me was figuring out how to navigate the app in the first place. I’ve never used Twitter before, so this was new for me. Overall, however, I really like this social media platform and how it can be used!

By Jordan Washington and Camille Furst (Tweets/Reflection from Camille Furst) Tweets: Little known fact about #Roscoe the Lion @TCNJ: he’s been our mascot since way back in 1934, when the editor of the yearbook, Joe Satalof, put the #lion on the seal!
