While doing the twitter scavenger hunt, we as a group learned a lot from the experience. We learned a lot about the Trenton area and its impact on surrounding areas. We became comfortable with approaching people and asking for a mini interview. Isabel and Kalli learned how to use twitter, since they did not have much experience with the social media site. During the scavenger hunt, we also learned the baseball community is larger than we anticipated it to be. Many students at The College of New Jersey, and residents in the surrounding areas are fans of the sport. There were many fans of the baseball team here at the college, and for Trenton Thunder. The experience as a whole, allowed us to further our journalistic skills, and learn to write for a variety of social media outlets. We also learned how to write in a concise manner, since we’re only allowed 280 characters per tweet. Even though most of the tweets we had were far fewer than 280 characters, it can be hard at times to keep tweets under that limit. This was a great experience that taught us a lot and we are glad we got to do it and look forward to writing about the Thunder.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
